The Windmill Medical Centre improves their patient experience with INFORM’s Waiting Room Information Screen.
The Windmill Medical Centre located in Skerries, county Dublin delivers a range of specialised primary care services in a modern, spacious surgery in the heart of the town and has recently started using INFORM’s Waiting Room Information Screen service.
Here’s what Practice Manager Pauline Mulvey has to say about the service:
“Since we set up our Practice in 2006, we have always had the INFORM brochure stand on-site to help and assist our patients with their day-to-day medical information and helplines. This has always provided a great wealth of advice to our patients, and when we heard about their Information Screen Service we thought it might be worth investigating.”
“It is worth noting that we had previously invested in an information screen from a different provider which had not worked out great for us – content was not appropriate, quality was poor and the ability to edit our own notices was near impossible, so understandably we were quite cautious about signing up to a new information provider. However, from our first point of contact with INFORM, it has been the smoothest process possible, from enquiry to installation of the digital screen.
INFORM came out to our practice to give us a one-to-one demonstration of the screen and took us through all the health awareness content along with the practice notices we could use as soon as we were happy to proceed. The quality of the screen content was excellent both in information and appearance. The ability to control which practice notices we require is also a big plus – i.e. We can have our standard notices and then alternate with our seasonal / ad-hoc practice notices at the click of a button. The content management software is very easy to use – which I have found out since installation.
Within a week of agreeing to sign up to this service we had a very non-intrusive installation and our INFORM contact visited the practice again to ensure we were comfortable with the online content management software, we have not looked back since.
The awareness messages are a big hit with the children that attend the surgery for their bright and fun approach to the likes of hand-washing. Adults love the fact that they can be educated through the screen without leaving their seat and at the same time have a live ticker from RTE on all the current headlines & weather.
As a staff member the benefits were instant – our patients had a welcome distraction, they had a screen that was not intrusive, yet caught their attention, and we had the ability to change the layout as needed. It has totally brightened up the Reception area as a whole.
I have no hesitation in recommending this service, both from the point of view of the effectiveness of the screen and the pre and post service Inform have provided us.”
